Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff to support timely interventions
• Take and record vital signs accurately, ensuring clear documentation for the care team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices to protect residents and staff
• Communicate respectfully with residents and families, fostering dignity and trust in every interaction

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) credential - valid in New Hampshire or Vermont
• Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant program
• Current basic life support certification (BLS/CPR) preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings and immunizations
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-first attitude
• Prior experience in long term care or similar settings is a plus but caring attitude and competence matter most

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of state-approved nursing assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assistance with ADLs and resident mobility
• Knowledge of basic vital sign collection and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs on busy shifts
• Clear verbal and written communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Compassionate patient-centered care mindset
