Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents on the Fenimore Unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, following facility policies
• Monitor resident condition, document changes, and communicate effectively with RNs and providers
• Assist with ADLs and support residents to maintain dignity and independence
• Participate in care planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary team members
• Contribute to a positive, resident-focused environment through clear communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in New York state
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Comfortable with long-term care or skilled nursing environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with a care team
• Reliable, compassionate, and resident-focused attitude

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic wound care
• Charting and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and point-of-care documentation
• Infection control principles and safe patient handling
• Strong observational skills and clinical judgment for resident assessment
• Effective interpersonal skills with residents, families, and colleagues
