Candidate Pay Rate: $62 - $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Deliver hands-on therapy and adaptive strategies to improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with nursing, rehab, and social services to coordinate holistic care
• Document progress clearly and timely to support continuity of care and outcomes
• Train residents and caregivers on adaptive equipment and home safety techniques
• Participate in care conferences and contribute to discharge planning and transitions

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice or eligibility to obtain one
• State-required certifications and clearances as applicable
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is highly preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning, documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain

Education

• Entry-level Master's or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, or equivalent degree
• Completion of accredited OT clinical education and licensure-ready coursework

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled assessment of ADLs, transfers, cognition, and functional mobility
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting basics, and environmental modifications
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid documentation basics in skilled nursing
• Excellent communication skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Ability to prioritize caseloads and manage documentation efficiently
