Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Support residents’ mobility and transfers safely using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Observe, document, and promptly report changes in a resident’s condition to the nursing team
- Follow individualized care plans and assist licensed nurses with delegated tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and visitors
- Adhere to infection control practices and facility safety protocols at all times
- Work as a member of the PD Pool, floating to assigned units and collaborating with teams across the facility
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in the appropriate state
- Personal health documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, and Influenza vaccine as listed
- Completed Physical/Health Statement on file
- Negative Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen completed
- Willingness to work per diem shifts and float within the PD Pool
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of basic resident care and activities of daily living
- Familiarity with infection prevention and safe handling practices
- Good communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with nurses and support staff
- Basic charting and documentation abilities
- Ability to follow care plans and take direction from licensed nursing staff
