Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse

Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM (Evening shift, Shift 2)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $32 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the evening shift
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Assess, monitor and document patient conditions and progress
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the interdisciplinary care team
Coordinate timely transitions of care and report changes to providers
Maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete required documentation

Qualifications

Active LPN or RN license in Maryland (licensed practical nurse or registered nurse)
Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
Comfortable working per diem/evening shifts and adapting to changing assignments
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clinical teams
Demonstrated clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN nursing program (diploma, ASN or BSN as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, medication administration and assessments
Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong patient education and bedside manner skills
Teamwork-oriented with good time management and organizational abilities
