Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to patients with accuracy and warmth
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document according to policy
• Perform assessments, monitor patient status, and report changes promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely charting in the patient record and follow infection control practices
• Support patients and families with education, encouragement, and emotional support
• Contribute to a safe, organized unit by following protocols and assisting colleagues as needed

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the state of Georgia (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain promptly)
• Active clinical skills in medication administration, patient assessment, and wound care
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour shift patterns and able to adapt to unit scheduling
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical judgment with attention to detail
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Basic wound care and IV/shot administration familiarity
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
