Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care for pediatric surgical patients
Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room environment and instruments
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth procedures
Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to clinical changes
Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly
Participate in orientation and training to maintain best practices for pediatric OR care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
Experience in operating room nursing with a focus on pediatric patients preferred
Comfort working in a pediatric surgical environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Willingness to complete required orientation at the facility

Education

Nursing diploma or degree (ADN/BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and sterile technique
Familiarity with pediatric patient care needs and family-centered communication
Effective teamwork, communication, and situational awareness in the OR
Accurate clinical documentation and care coordination skills
Ability to follow facility protocols and safety standards
