Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg and pediatric patients
- Assess patient condition, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Document care thoroughly and communicate changes in patient status promptly
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington (WA)
- Experience working in Med/Surg and/or Pediatrics (preferred)
- Current BLS certification required; pediatric certifications (e.g., PALS) a plus
- Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork/communication skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and clinical judgment in Med/Surg and pediatric populations
- Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
- Familiarity with pediatric growth/development and family-centered care
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage a dynamic patient load
- Clear verbal and written communication with patients, families, and care teams
