Roles & Responsibilities

Perform thorough pre-operative assessments for pediatric patients to ensure safety and readiness for surgery
Educate and prepare patients and families about pre-op instructions and expectations with care and clarity
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and perioperative staff to coordinate patient flow
Monitor and document patient status, vital signs and pre-op interventions accurately in the chart
Maintain a safe, child-friendly environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Participate actively in orientation and team huddles to ensure seamless patient care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential (as listed in the posting)
Experience in pre-operative care and pediatric nursing (as listed in the posting)
Orientation to be provided by facility (Is Orientation: Yes)

Knowledge & Skills

Pre-operative assessment and preparation for pediatric patients
Strong family-centered communication and patient education skills
Collaborative teamwork within surgical and perioperative environments
Accurate clinical documentation and attention to safety protocols
