Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room with a focus on orthopedic and neurosurgery cases
• Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
• Anticipate surgeon needs and manage surgical instrumentation and supplies efficiently
• Coordinate with anesthesia, surgical techs, and post-anesthesia teams for smooth patient handoffs
• Respond promptly and professionally when on-call to support emergent and scheduled cases
• Participate in performance expectations and quality initiatives to meet Regional West standards

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (active, unencumbered)
• Perioperative nursing experience with documented Operating Room (OR) practice
• Required: Orthopedic OR experience and Neurosurgery OR experience (Level 1 or Level 2)
• Comfort and availability for the described call rotation (weekend and weeknight on-call)
• Ability to meet Regional West performance expectations and clinical competencies

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique in the OR
• Orthopedic surgical workflows and instrumentation familiarity
• Neurosurgical case familiarity and support in the OR setting
• Ability to work effectively in Level 1 and Level 2 OR environments
• Strong communication and teamwork during high-acuity surgical care
