Shift Type: Rotating shifts (8-, 10- or 12-hour options), Monday–Friday varied shifts with call; weekend call usually on a 1:4 rotation and weekday call rotates by day. 13-week maximum rotation (minimum 8 weeks). Day-focused rotating coverage with on-call responsibilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient OR circulation for a variety of bread-and-butter cases (general surgery, GYN, ortho, urology, podiatry, endoscopy)
• Cover call as scheduled — reliable response and excellent judgment matter here
• Support surgical teams by preparing cases, picking instruments, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized OR environment
• Assist with PACU support on occasion when floating is required
• Help CRNA with intubation assistance when needed and collaborate on airway management
• Demonstrate flexibility to float across procedures and support small-facility workflows

Qualifications

• Active RN license or MT credential (per the role) in good standing
• Minimum 3 years of experience functioning as an OR circulator
• Preference for Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience and comfort working with limited resources
• Proven ability to manage call coverage and work varied shift lengths (8/10/12-hour)
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to assist with PACU and perioperative duties

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of OR circulation and sterile technique
• Hands-on surgical assisting experience across general surgery, GYN, ortho, urology, podiatry, and endoscopy
• Skills in case picking, restocking, cleaning, and supply management
• Comfort providing PACU assistance when needed
• Ability to function independently in a small-facility environment and prioritize effectively during call
