Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients in an acute inpatient rehab setting and develop individualized care plans
• Deliver hands-on therapeutic interventions across orthopedic, neurologic and cardiopulmonary diagnoses
• Supervise and coordinate therapeutic care with PTAs, OTs, rehab techs and nursing staff
• Document assessments, progress and discharge planning accurately in Cerner PowerChart
• Perform safe patient handling using SARA+, Stedy, Maximove and standard gait equipment
• Communicate clinical findings and progress with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Contribute to high-quality patient experience and maintain unit standards for safety and documentation

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license to practice Physical Therapy (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum ~2 years clinical experience (header indicates 2 years); acute care experience preferred (at least 1 year preferred)
• Comfort and experience treating orthopedic, neurologic and cardiopulmonary patients in an acute setting
• Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment with strong communication skills

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient evaluation and care plan development for inpatient rehab
• Proficient with Cerner PowerChart documentation
• Experience with patient lifting equipment (SARA+, Stedy, Maximove), walkers and gait belts
• Ability to supervise and coordinate therapeutic care and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of acute care procedures, safety, and discharge planning
