Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-acuity nursing care for trauma, surgical, neuro, and spinal patients with compassion and clinical precision
Assess, monitor, and triage complex patients including gunshot victims, quadriplegic and paraplegic patients
Collaborate closely with surgical and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate timely care and interventions
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in EPIC to ensure continuity and quality
Implement and follow trauma and surgical protocols to maintain patient safety in critical situations
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to deliver patient-centered care

Qualifications

BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
EPIC experience required (documented on profile)
Nursys license verification required (current, verifiable nursing license)
Minimum 2 years experience in the specialty (trauma/surgical/neuro/high-acuity)
Complete candidate profile: work history/resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, certification card, badge-appropriate photo, and demographic info

Knowledge & Skills

Trauma nursing and trauma patient management
Surgical and perioperative patient care
Neuro and spinal care, including care of quadriplegic/paraplegic patients
High-acuity nursing best practices
EPIC documentation and electronic charting proficiency
BLS (required) and ACLS (preferred) resuscitation skills
Experience with wound and penetrating trauma care
