Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based adult med-surgical nursing care during 12-hour night shifts
• Assess and monitor patient condition, intervene appropriately, and escalate changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and document care accurately in the chart
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, efficient patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain unit standards for safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Nebraska or compact RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Med-surgical nursing experience and comfort working adult patient populations
• Comfort and experience working night shift and managing overnight patient needs
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required onboarding steps

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med-surgical clinical skills and adult patient assessment
• IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care experience
• Proficient documentation and charting in electronic health records
• Good critical thinking, prioritization, and time management during busy night shifts
• Team-oriented communication with nurses, providers, and support staff
