Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to Med-Surg and telemetry patients within LPN/LVN scope
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms, promptly reporting changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and scope of practice
• Perform focused assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to RN/MD
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate, timely charting in the electronic health record and support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in good standing (Louisiana or eligible for compact/reciprocity)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience (Med-Surg and telemetry preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS a plus if available
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, reliable communication skills, and a patient-first attitude

Education

• LPN/LVN diploma or certificate from an accredited program; state licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation fundamentals
• Medical-Surgical nursing best practices and patient assessment
• Safe medication administration and documentation
• Strong infection control and bedside clinical skills
• Comfortable working with EHR systems and accurate charting
