Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments to evaluate resident health and needs
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans based on nursing diagnoses
• Prepare, administer and accurately chart routine and emergency medications and treatments
• Coordinate and facilitate physician visits and communicate effectively with providers
• Supervise nursing assistants and ensure care delivery aligns with the plan of care
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation to support continuity and quality of care
• Implement infection control and safety procedures to maintain a clean, safe environment
• Teach residents, families and staff about care plans, medications and resident rights
• Participate in interdisciplinary quality management activities to uphold facility standards
• Manage IV therapy, central lines and catheters safely and competently

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (eligible to practice in the state of assignment)
• Demonstrated competency in nursing assessment, care planning and clinical documentation
• Experience or demonstrated ability in medication administration and IV therapy
• Ability to supervise and lead nursing assistants on assigned shifts
• Strong communication skills with residents, families and interdisciplinary team
• Familiarity with infection control procedures and resident rights/choices philosophy
• Comfort participating in quality management and adhering to facility policies

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
