Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator-dependent patients including setup, monitoring and adjustments on Servo I, Hamilton and other ventilators
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide respiratory care decisions
• Provide non-invasive ventilation support (CPAP, BiPAP) and titrate therapy for patient comfort and safety
• Administer nebulized therapies and chest physiotherapy (CPT) as indicated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to develop and implement respiratory care plans
• Teach and support patients and families on respiratory equipment use and discharge needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately in the EMR (Meditech)

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (must-have)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Trauma experience preferred
• Previous Meditech experience preferred by the director

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential / certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management skills (Servo I, Hamilton, V60, Astral)
• Proficient with ABG analysis, CPAP/BiPAP setup and troubleshooting
• Experience with nebulizer treatments and CPT techniques
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Effective teamwork, critical thinking and strong communication with physicians and staff
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR for documentation
