Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in the Interventional Radiology setting
• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after IR procedures to ensure optimal outcomes
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and assist clinicians during invasive procedures
• Administer medications and document care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on procedure expectations and post-procedure instructions
• Maintain competency through required checklists and participate in skills validation processes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia) with successful License/Certificate Verification
• BLS certification required
• Experience or demonstrated competency in Interventional Radiology
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and any facility-required competency validations
• Successful completion of Fit Test and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen as part of onboarding
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per facility requirements

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Interventional Radiology procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to monitor hemodynamic status and respond to changes during procedures
• Familiarity with IR equipment, contrast administration considerations, and infection control
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural environments
• Accurate documentation skills in electronic medical record systems
