Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments to ensure every case runs smoothly
• Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently while maintaining a sterile field
• Inspect, sterilize and track instruments and supplies for patient safety
• Assist the surgical team with positioning, draping and infection control practices
• Document case counts and instrument usage accurately
• Communicate proactively with nurses, surgeons and other team members to support excellent patient outcomes

Qualifications

• CST certification (Certified Surgical Technologist) required
• ORT/Operating Room experience as indicated (CST/ORT specialty)
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (per job posting)
• Comfortable and experienced working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Current state licensure/certification as required by facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR protocols
• Familiarity with surgical instruments, counts and sterilization processes
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Clear, professional communication and teamwork in the perioperative setting
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
