Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to medical-surgical patients with spinal and neuro trauma
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with gunshot wounds and complex trauma presentations
• Deliver specialized care for quadriplegic and paraplegic patients, focusing on safety and rehabilitation needs
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress clearly and thoroughly in EPIC
• Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient-centered plans
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns in a timely manner
• Maintain required credentials and ensure all demographic and badge information is current and accurate

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in spinal/neuro trauma surgical or medical-surgical specialty
• EPIC experience is required for documentation and charting
• Nursys license verification must be available
• Resume/work history with no gaps greater than 60 days
• Ability to provide skills checklist, references, and certification card
• Upload badge-appropriate photo and complete demographic profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge in medical-surgical nursing and spinal/neuro trauma care
• Experience managing gunshot wound patients and complex trauma scenarios
• Skilled in caring for quadriplegic and paraplegic patients, including mobility and skin integrity concerns
• Proficient in EPIC for documentation, orders, and communication
• Attention to detail for credentialing, licensing, and compliance tasks
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
