Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg and skilled nursing care to adult patients with compassion and clinical confidence
• Care for non-critical pediatric patients when needed, ensuring safety and comfort
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EHR
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
• Float seamlessly to the Skilled Nursing Department as needs arise, supporting unit continuity
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient-focused plans of care
• Maintain required certifications and participate in unit-based quality improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Active California RN license (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• PALS certification (required)
• Hands-on Cerner experience is a must
• Experience in Med/Surg and skilled nursing settings
• Comfort and competence caring for non-critical pediatric patients
• Ability to work nights and float between departments as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong Cerner/EHR charting and documentation skills
• Med/Surg nursing principles and skilled nursing competencies
• Pediatric (non-critical) care fundamentals
• Proven ACLS and PALS knowledge and application
• Clinical assessment, medication administration, and IV skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and situational awareness
