Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based labor and delivery care for birthing patients
• Manage postpartum care and circulation monitoring to support maternal recovery
• Assist and scrub in for C-sections when needed, working seamlessly with surgical teams
• Perform neonatal stabilization and NRP protocols in the delivery room as required
• Collaborate closely with NICU and pediatrics teams for newborn transitions and consultations
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly
• Respond to obstetric emergencies following ACLS, NRP, and BLS protocols
• Contribute positively to unit performance expectations and maintain professional standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the appropriate jurisdiction or eligibility to obtain one
• Current ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications (required)
• Hands-on Labor & Delivery and postpartum experience (required)
• Experience scrubbing in for C-sections, NICU, or pediatrics (preferred)
• Ability to work nights and adapt to varied shift schedules with a team-first mindset
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in labor, delivery, and postpartum maternal care
• Proficient with neonatal resuscitation and newborn stabilization (NRP)
• Comfortable assisting in C-sections and providing perioperative support
• Knowledgeable in maternal circulation monitoring and emergency response (ACLS/BLS)
• Excellent documentation, triage, and interdisciplinary communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced delivery and postpartum settings
