Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to mixed Med/Surg patients on a 30-bed unit
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergent situations, leveraging trauma experience when needed
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Advocate for patients and families to promote positive outcomes and smooth transitions

Qualifications

• BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years Med/Surg experience or level 1 trauma / mid-large hospital experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Positive attitude, dependable and timely — strong teamwork and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and patient care best practices
• Experience caring for patients in a 30-bed mixed Med/Surg environment
• Comfort working with 5-6:1 patient ratios while maintaining safety and quality
• Trauma exposure and ability to prioritize in high-acuity moments
• Proficient documentation and clinical judgment skills
