Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings using sound clinical judgment
• Develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and adaptive strategies to address functional limitations
• Manage a diverse caseload independently and document care thoroughly in the EMR
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care and optimize outcomes
• Monitor patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and educate patients and families for ongoing success
• Ensure compliance with California OT regulations and facility policies while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
• Active California Occupational Therapist License in good standing
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider BLS certification
• 2-3 years of experience in acute care, rehabilitation, or outpatient settings preferred
• Proficiency with EMR documentation and basic computer skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach and commitment to continuous professional learning

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (accredited program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and functional assessment expertise
• Treatment planning and individualized intervention skills
• Caseload management and prioritization
• EMR documentation proficiency
• Experience across acute care, rehab, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
• Multidisciplinary team collaboration and effective communication
