Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy services across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings in accordance with physician orders
• Document patient status, treatment plans, progress, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Apply strong clinical reasoning to tailor interventions for diverse diagnoses and patient populations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home programs, and safe mobility strategies
• Maintain compliance with California and federal PT regulatory requirements and hospital policies
• Participate in ongoing professional development to keep skills current and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
• Active California Physical Therapy License in good standing
• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
• Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient management skills

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program

• Patient evaluation and treatment planning
• Providing physical therapy services across multiple settings
• Clinical reasoning and problem-solving
• Accurate documentation and use of EMR systems

• Full-time sign-on bonus: $10,000
