Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Act as a strong patient advocate throughout the surgical experience
• Perform the circulator role with attention to patient safety, documentation, and coordination
• Utilize the nursing process and established standards to ensure excellent patient outcomes
• Direct and supervise assigned personnel to maintain smooth, safe operations
• Collaborate with Unit Nurse Manager, House Supervisor, and RN Team Leader to support unit goals

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience in perioperative nursing and functioning as a circulator in the OR
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for patients and provide compassionate surgical care
• Comfort with supervising and directing assigned staff during surgical cases

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative care across pre-op, intra-op and post-op phases
• Patient advocacy and strong communication skills
• Nursing process application and adherence to standards/policies
• Circulator role duties and surgical patient care workflow
• Ability to supervise and coordinate perioperative personnel
