Roles & Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic X-ray and CT imaging procedures accurately and safely to support excellent patient care.
Position patients and operate radiologic equipment with care, ensuring image quality and patient comfort.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Communicate results and patient needs clearly to the care team, documenting procedures and findings accurately.
Use sound judgment and follow written or verbal instructions to carry out prescribed imaging exams.
Provide compassionate patient care, answering questions and easing concerns during imaging procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program in radiological technology.
Illinois Radiologic Technologist license (required).
CRP Certification (required).
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge and comfort with electronic records.
Strong interpersonal skills, basic math ability, and sound judgment.
Ability to follow one- or two-step instructions reliably.

Education

Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program

Knowledge & Skills

Radiologic technology fundamentals, including X-ray and CT imaging.
Patient positioning and patient care during imaging exams.
Radiation safety principles and infection control practices.
Basic computer skills for image capture and record-keeping.
Clear communication skills and professional bedside manner.
Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment in clinical situations.
