Shift Type: Day shift (specific start/end times not provided; daytime hours — role includes clinic days, inpatient/long-term care coverage, home visits and village travel; New Employee Orientation occurs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
Hours per Week: 32
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide full-time outpatient and inpatient occupational therapy care across all age groups and diagnoses
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and therapeutic exercise
- Deliver home visits and village-based care, adapting treatment to limited-resource settings
- Collaborate closely with medical providers and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
- Document patient progress and compose clear medical correspondence and plans of care
- Modify interventions using age- and patient-specific considerations and evidence-based practice
- Support long term care patients when needed and participate in departmental activities and self-assessment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (required)
- Current NBCOT certification (required)
- Licensed in good standing as an OT in Alaska OR holding a good-standing out-of-state OT license while awaiting Alaska licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness and ability to travel to villages and perform home visits
- Ability to complete required onboarding items: photo ID, SSN card, professional license/certification, education/transcripts, background checks, 10-panel drug screen (within 90 days), competency checklist, OIG/SAM/OFAC checks, fit test/physical, emergency contact and 3 references
- Immunization compliance (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Tdap, Polio) or acceptable titers/historical records
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills and professional conduct
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and treatment planning
- ADL training and therapeutic exercise techniques
- Skilled patient documentation and medical correspondence
- Experience with home visits and village-based therapy
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with medical providers
- Evidence-based practice and ability to interpret OT literature
- Comfort working with a wide age range and varied diagnoses
- Ability to adapt care to limited equipment environments and resourceful treatment planning
