Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform accurate medication order entry and verification to ensure patient safety
• Check and dispense medications, maintaining strict medication safety practices
• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services that support quality patient care
• Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic and oncology when assigned
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other staff to optimize therapy
• Support a wide range of patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics with clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required, Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
• Current license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy, or eligible for reciprocation in PA within 90 days of hire
• Recent hospital experience preferred; pharmacy residency preferred if rotating to ambulatory clinics
• Advanced practice certifications preferred for clinic-focused rotations
• BLS certification required for anticoagulation clinic role and must be renewed every two years
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical pharmacy and patient care focus
• Medication order verification, medication checking, and medication dispensing
• Inpatient and ambulatory pharmacy operations including anticoagulation and oncology services
• Working knowledge of Pennsylvania pharmacy law and federal regulations
• Medication safety best practices and quality-focused mindset
• Team collaboration, clear communication, and professional interaction with clinicians and staff
