Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility and independence
• Perform patient evaluations and assist with mobility and functional assessments
• Provide technical support for efficient, high-quality delivery of therapy services
• Document patient progress and therapy interventions accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support comprehensive patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and strategies to promote recovery
• Assist with outpatient services when needed, including orthopedic, sports, pediatric, and neurological care

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Comfortable working in acute care settings; experience in acute care is a strong plus
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow care plans under PT supervision
• Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient evaluation and mobility support
• Rehabilitation techniques for acute and swing bed patients
• Therapy documentation and clinical record keeping
• Orthopedic, sports, pediatric, neurological/stroke, and balance/dizziness rehab approaches
• Wheelchair seating knowledge and outpatient therapy familiarity
• Patient education and safety-focused care
