Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days: Not specified, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day shift (12.5-hour shift) — Meal break: 30 minutes

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Perform timely assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate excellent care
Maintain clear, professional charting in the facility electronic record
Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and a calm presence

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Comfort with 12-plus hour day shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team
Experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not required

Education

Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and basic nursing care
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Wound care fundamentals and vital signs monitoring
Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
Time management, prioritization, and clear communication with team members
