Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned residents
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform timely assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes to the care team
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and support staff to coordinate excellent care
- Maintain clear, professional charting in the facility electronic record
- Support patients and families with education, reassurance, and a calm presence
Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico required
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Comfort with 12-plus hour day shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively on a care team
- Experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program or equivalent diploma/certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and basic nursing care
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Wound care fundamentals and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
- Time management, prioritization, and clear communication with team members
