Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM Day shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $31 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Monitor patient condition, record observations, and report changes promptly
Assist with activities of daily living and support resident comfort and dignity
Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
Maintain accurate, timely charting and complete required regulatory documentation

Qualifications

Current LPN license in the state-appropriate jurisdiction
CPR/BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
Comfortable working independently on per diem shifts and stepping into varying team environments
Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents and families
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but motivated new grads are welcome

Education

Completion of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Vital signs assessment and basic clinical monitoring
Wound care basics and dressing changes
Charting in electronic health records and following care plans
Infection control practices and safe patient handling
Team collaboration and clear handoff communication
