Shift Type: Per Diem, nights, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (days vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to geriatric residents, helping them feel safe and respected
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Monitor and document resident conditions, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support mobility and safe transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Contribute to a peaceful, comfortable environment by responding to resident needs and requests
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification or equivalent state nursing assistant credential
- Active CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience in geriatric, long-term, or skilled nursing care preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility immunization requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA certification (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Skilled in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Familiarity with charting and documentation best practices
- Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
- Ability to recognize and report changes in resident status
- Team-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills
