Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem, days vary, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Support residents with meals and hydration while observing dietary needs
Monitor and document changes in residents' conditions and report concerns
Collaborate with RNs and the care team to follow care plans and meet goals
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families

Qualifications

Valid GNA certification required
Previous experience in geriatric, long-term, or assisted living care preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass facility-required background and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of common geriatric care needs and best practices
Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation skills
Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with residents and families
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
