Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting significant changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Assist with feeding, hygiene, grooming, and toileting while preserving resident dignity
• Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
• Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Minimum CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
• Successful background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Comfortable working the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to support older adults

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic nursing care and activities of daily living
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection prevention and resident safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes clearly
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective teamwork skills
• Familiarity with electronic or paper charting systems preferred
