Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and ambulation following facility policies
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and patients
• Document care activities in the patient record clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized, respectful care plans are followed

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (or equivalent) — Pennsylvania certification preferred or eligible to obtain
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Previous experience as a CNA or in direct patient care preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to patient safety and dignity

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe patient handling
• Patient-centered care and infection control practices
• Familiarity with charting/documentation and basic electronic health record use
• Good observational skills and ability to escalate concerns appropriately
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for diverse patient populations
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
