Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Document patient observations and care given in a clear, timely manner
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients
- Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans
- Support effective communication with patients, families, and staff
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused approach
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with patient transfers as needed
- Willingness to complete required facility onboarding (background check, immunizations, TB screening)
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and safety
- Basic infection control practices
- Familiarity with documenting care and simple charting
- Ability to observe and report changes in patient condition
- Teamwork, time management, and dependable work habits
