Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
• Observe, record and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility to promote independence and prevent falls
• Support resident mealtimes and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient's chart
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Respond to call lights and resident requests with kindness and efficiency

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
• Minimum experience: comfortable working in long-term care or similar settings (per diem roles welcome even if you’re building hours)
• Valid background check, TB test and required immunizations per facility guidelines
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents during an 8-hour shift

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) and safe patient handling
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Familiarity with charting and electronic medical record systems
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Team player who communicates clearly with residents and clinical staff
