Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced respiratory care for neonates, infants and pediatric patients in the NICU/Peds setting
- Manage mechanical ventilation and assist with weaning and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Perform direct intubation, extubation support and airway management procedures confidently
- Administer respiratory medications and manage inhaled therapies, including Nitric Oxide when indicated
- Interpret ABGs and basic EKGs to inform timely clinical interventions
- Chart thoroughly and accurately in EPIC to support interdisciplinary care
- Participate in neonatal transports and assist in high-risk deliveries as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other clinicians to deliver family-centered care
Qualifications
- Current RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) required
- NRP, BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU or neonatal/pediatric respiratory therapy experience
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Comfortable with ventilator management (including HFJV/HFOV experience preferred)
- Experience with neonatal/pediatric devices (CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, Bubble CPAP)
- Able to float to like units within the Women & Children's Pavilion
- First-time travelers are welcome — this role accepts first-time travel clinicians
Knowledge & Skills
- Neonatal and pediatric ventilator management and troubleshooting
- Airway management and direct intubation skills
- Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and basic EKG interpretation
- Medication administration for respiratory therapies (inhaled and systemic)
- Familiarity with high-frequency ventilators (jet & oscillator) and nitric oxide (INo)
- Neonatal transport processes and high-risk delivery support
- Competent EPIC documentation and interdisciplinary communication
- Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, Bubble CPAP and oxygen therapy devices
