Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem / as scheduled (days vary), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care throughout the overnight shift
Assess and monitor patient condition, recognizing and responding to changes quickly
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Support patients and families with education, comfort, and clear communication
Follow infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure appropriate for practice (state licensure or compact RN where applicable)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Experience in inpatient nursing or similar clinical settings preferred
Comfort working independently during overnight shifts and escalating concerns appropriately
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment and critical thinking for overnight patient care
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
Patient and family education skills delivered with empathy
Prioritization and time management during high-acuity periods
Infection prevention and safety procedures
