Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned patients
- Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status throughout the shift
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Document patient care and interventions clearly in the medical record
- Respond promptly to patient needs and escalating situations
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to practice in New Mexico preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications a plus
- Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work per diem night shifts and adapt to variable schedules
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and acute care practices
- Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and clinical technology
- Skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent patient communication and compassionate bedside manner
