Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $37 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess patients promptly and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes
Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care
Document patient care and progress clearly in the medical record
Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
Advocate for patient safety, infection control, and best practices

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse license (RN) — New Mexico licensure required or eligible
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
Current clinical experience in acute care, med-surg, or similar settings
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently on night shifts and collaborate with a team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
Familiarity with monitoring equipment and post-op/acute care protocols
Excellent communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
Time management and triage skills for high-acuity environments
