Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition, responding quickly to changes
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care and administer medications appropriately
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, collaborative unit culture
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Georgia or compact license eligibility
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred based on unit
- Previous acute care experience preferred; unit-specific experience a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows
- Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability for contract assignments
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation best practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting and work well on a team
- Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols
