Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition, responding quickly to changes
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care and administer medications appropriately
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, collaborative unit culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Georgia or compact license eligibility
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS preferred based on unit
• Previous acute care experience preferred; unit-specific experience a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and workflows
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills, and reliability for contract assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and successful licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting and work well on a team
• Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols
