Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care on a 20-bed progressive care/telemetry unit, using strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Monitor and manage telemetry patients, ensuring bedside monitors and cardiac telemetry are accurate and acted upon
• Use Cerner to document thoroughly and communicate patient status across the care team
• Provide prompt, compassionate care for short-stay and step-down patients with quick turnover
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teammates and float to other units as needed to maintain safe staffing
• Maintain patient ratios and prioritize interventions to keep patients safe and progressing

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (state licensure/compact as required for travel assignments)
• Minimum 2+ years clinical nursing experience, with progressive care or telemetry experience preferred
• Telemetry competency and comfort with cardiac monitoring
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner or similar EMR preferred
• Ability to float to other units and work every other weekend as scheduled
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
