Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide focused, high-quality telemetry nursing care for Progressive Care Unit patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and patient observation data to anticipate needs
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner and Tap-and-Go workflows
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute patient care plans
• Act quickly and confidently in emergent situations to stabilize and escalate care as needed
• Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and patient preparation for procedures
• Champion compassionate, patient-centered care and contribute to a positive unit culture

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credentials (appropriate state licensure required)
• BLS certification (required)
• 2+ years clinical experience — telemetry/medical-surgical/PCU experience preferred
• Experience with medical telemetry monitoring and Cerner EMR
• Comfortable with floating to sister med-surg units and covering weekend shifts
• BSN and CMSRN credentials encouraged and will be viewed favorably
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
• Patient monitoring systems (remote telemetry, VC150s) and bedside tech workflows
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and safe medication administration
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and prioritize multiple patients
• Leadership and charge nurse skills appreciated for shift coordination
