Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans across adult acute care, outpatient, and emergency settings using GE and Toshiba 64-slice scanners
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely and document per protocol
• Operate PACS and Epic charting to ensure accurate image storage and patient records
• Prioritize radiation safety and follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Assist in emergency and stroke evaluations with rapid, accurate imaging when time matters most
• Support special procedures including biopsies, aspirations, drainages, brain perfusion studies, and vascular/coronary CTA when needed
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and transport teams to optimize patient flow and care
• Contribute to a busy department’s efficiency and patient experience through professional judgment and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification (ARRT CT or ARRT R accepted)
• California CRT (CA CRT) required
• CT certification and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of CT experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Experience in adult acute care and emergency department imaging preferred
• Comfortable with contrast administration, radiation safety, and PACS workflows
• Ability to work night 12-hour shifts and adapt to occasional day/evening coverage
• Pending license not accepted; active state licensure required at time of submission

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology or CT program (or equivalent)
• Current ARRT credentials and CA CRT as required certifications
• BLS certification

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanning and contrast administration
• Radiation safety and isolation precautions
• PACS management and image archiving (Fuji Synapse experience a plus)
• Epic charting familiarity
• Proficiency with GE and Toshiba CT scanners
• Special procedure experience: biopsies, aspirations, drainages
• Advanced studies: coronary CTA, vascular CTA, brain perfusion
• Strong patient communication and emergency response skills
