Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess wounds thoroughly and create evidence-based care plans tailored to each patient
- Perform dressing changes, debridement support, and ostomy care with precision
- Document assessments, treatments and progress notes clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on wound management, prevention and at-home care
- Monitor healing progress and escalate concerns or changes in condition when needed
- Maintain infection prevention standards and ensure proper use of wound care supplies
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — ready to practice with confidence
- Experience or strong interest in wound care and ostomy management
- Comfortable working in an outpatient wound care setting (clinic-based)
- Valid basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
Education
- Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred)

- Wound assessment and staging
- Dressing selection and wound management techniques
- Ostomy care fundamentals
- Patient education and coaching
- Clinical documentation and electronic medical records
- Infection control practices and sterile technique
- Collaborative teamwork and interdisciplinary communication
