Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans that improve outcomes
- Implement and manage enteral and parenteral nutrition therapies safely and effectively
- Design, launch, and refine nutrition programs that support community and hospital goals
- Provide clear direction and mentorship to food service staff to ensure consistent nutrition services
- Perform thorough nutritional assessments and document interventions and progress
- Lead quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of nutrition care
- Collaborate closely with nursing, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients, families, and staff about nutrition plans and best practices for recovery
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) — required
- Washington State Dietitian certification required within three (3) months of hire
- Comfortable performing nutritional assessments and managing parenteral and enteral nutrition
- Ability to lift 7 pounds overhead and push/pull a tray cart approximately 300 feet
- Experience or knowledge in program development and quality assurance in nutrition services
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clinical teams and food service staff
