Shift Type: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; schedule includes every third weekend and 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, 1:1 labor support for patients during active labor and delivery
- Perform fetal monitoring and interpret tracings to guide safe clinical decisions
- Assist with and manage vaginal deliveries and support C-section workflows as needed
- Deliver newborn care and initial assessments in the nursery and postpartum settings
- Coordinate postpartum care, patient education, and discharge planning
- Document care accurately and efficiently using Meditech/CPN EMR systems
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiology, nursery staff, and unit leadership to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current RN (Registered Nurse) credential appropriate for the state of practice
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on labor and delivery nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal monitoring
- Experience with high-volume LDRP settings is preferred
- Comfortable using Meditech/CPN and familiar with GE fetal monitors is a plus
- Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and teamwork mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in fetal monitoring and interpretation (AWHONN-level practice)
- Skilled in managing labor, delivery, newborn care, and postpartum needs
- Experience with Meditech EMR and CPN documentation workflows
- Familiarity with GE fetal monitors and unit equipment
- Ability to maintain safe patient ratios (1:1 labor care) and prioritize tasks in a busy unit
- Excellent patient education, family-centered care, and crisis response skills
