Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform general X-ray exams and fluoroscopic procedures with accuracy and compassion
- Provide portable imaging services for ED and inpatient needs, delivering timely results
- Support intraoperative imaging in the OR, working closely with surgical teams
- Maintain strict radiation safety practices and monitor badge readings (traveler supplies badge)
- Document studies clearly and efficiently in EPIC and McKesson and ensure images are archived to PACS
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and techs to optimize patient care and throughput
- Help maintain imaging equipment, perform basic QC checks, and report issues promptly
- Deliver excellent patient communication and comfort during often stressful or urgent exams
Qualifications
- WA Radiologic Technologist License required at time of submittal
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of radiologic technologist experience
- Traveler must provide their own radiation badge; facility will not provide one
- Experience with ED X-ray and Surgery/OR imaging is a strong plus
- Familiarity with GE and Siemens imaging equipment preferred
- Comfortable charting in EPIC and using McKesson and PACS
- Available to start on 2026-03-09 and able to work night shifts (Thursday-Saturday)
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- ARRT (R) certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Fluoroscopy and portable radiography techniques
- Strong patient positioning and trauma imaging skills
- Radiation safety principles and badge monitoring
- Proficiency with PACS image retrieval and archiving
- Charting and documentation in EPIC and McKesson
- Sterile technique awareness for OR imaging
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care focus
